We finally managed to perform Pending Vote in a real parliament. It was in the Provinciehuis in Ghent (Belgium), organised by the Vooruit. We had tried to do this in Spain, but it proved impossible. Some Spanish members of parliament admitted that parliaments are scared of citizens, as shown by the increasing bunker mentality in these representative bodies, which are becoming fortresses protected by hundreds of police officers. In Belgium they couldn’t believe it. The Provinciehuis, where we performed Pending Vote, regularly puts on small concerts and readings.
