Today, May 1st 2020, VLR and I crossed Barcelona with a red flag. Some of the few passers-by we met made some comments, others gave us a sign of complicity. Most of them continued on their way without contacting us. Alba Aloy, who was on the balcony of her house, has hunted us with her camera and has sent us this photo.
Some years ago I heard someone telling the following anecdote: It was in Paris between the end of the 60s and the beginning of the 70s. A group of Spaniards, among whom was Agustín García Calvo (perhaps it was he who told this story), were planning to go and demonstrate for the International Workers’ Day. As they were not part of any organization, they decided to stay at the end of the demonstration with their own banner: VIVA EL 30 DE ABRIL. I have been looking for an image of this banner but I have not found it. If anyone has any references, they are welcome.
